Upcoming Meeting with the Librarian: President Thaul reported that she and Vice President Salaam-Blyther, along with representatives of the other Library unions, would be meeting with the Librarian that afternoon. Thaul and Salaam-Blyther plan to bring up concerns about diversity, including our need for data.
Consultative Management: Vice President Martin updated the board about progress he and Governor Brown have made on consultative management.
CRS “Work Model” Working Group: President Thaul mentioned that the co-chairs of the Work Model working group, which is organized as part of the Library’s Strategic Planning process and is focused on CRS research priorities, is having meetings with each division to seek staff input. Thaul, the CREA representative on the working group, encouraged members of the board to attend the division meetings.
