Article 42 – Ratification

Section 1.

This Agreement shall become effective when:

1. Agreement is reached upon terms of the entire Agreement; and
2. This Agreement has been approved and initialed by the Librarian of Congress; and
3. This Agreement has been ratified by the members of the Association in accordance with its constitution and by-laws and written notice of such ratification has been delivered to the Librarian of Congress; and
4. This Agreement has been signed by the Librarian of Congress, President of the Association, the Association Bargaining Delegation and the Library Management Negotiating Committee.

Section 2.

The effective date of this Agreement shall be the date of signature of the President of the Association and the Librarian of Congress.
