Message in TMA: Discussed the message on collegiality in the TMU.
Office Administration: Made an offer to a person, Keisha, and she accepted the office. In order to be able to be trained by John Mickey, both John and Keisha have been coming in for training from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Should we pay them time and a half since training has to occur so late because John has started his new job? Gov. Stouffer moved that CREA temporarily pay the staff (for 9 hours) at a rate of time and a half. Gov. Oladapo seconded.
Does CREA want to give John Mickey a cash bonus for his work? Gov. Oladapo moved that CREA give John Mickey a $250 cash/check/gift card/money order. Gov. Ester seconded it.
Senior Level Employees: VP Brass reported on this issue.
Metro SafeTrack: The LOC unions are meeting to discuss the issues regarding the metro repairs. The LOC unions want to discuss the issues and ideas for solutions with Library management. CREA’s position is that it is an issue where we can work together with management to try to alleviate a problem caused by something external to the LOC. Congressional clients cannot be served by people stuck in tunnels. The question is: how best do we serve the clients?
IP Pilot Program: Discussed the latest on the pilot.
Official Time: Discussed an issue related to official time.
Outreach to Congressional Staff: President Thaul is planning on doing this.
Open Forum: Discussed the Mo Davis case and the NPR report.
