Minutes: For September 10th accepted.
Election and Annual Meeting: Please post flyers for the election. Gov. Bradley is the election manager and will send out emails regarding poll watching.
Meeting with Bargaining Unit: Approximately 35 people attended.
Budget for FY2015: There discussion about reducing the budget deficit. Discussion about whether to keep membership in the Metro Council which CREA joined a few years ago. CREA does have sizable reserves. The investment committee needs to discuss what CREA should be doing with cash. Overarching questions regarding the budget that were raised: What are the reserves for? Should the board revisit the scholarship/loan repayment allocations or process? Gov. Brass motioned to accept the proposed budget as revised. Gov. Perl seconded the motion. Motion was approved.
Grievance: CREA needs to decide by Friday whether to move forward on a step 2 EEO grievance that involves disparate treatment. The Grievance Committee discussed in depth and feels that this employee has been treated differently. The Committee voted to move forwards. Gov. Brass moved upon the recommendation of the grievance committee that this grievance should precede. Gov. Jones seconded the motion. Motion approved.
