ADA Accommodations

In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the ADA Amendments Act (ADAAA) and Library of Congress Regulation LCR 2025-8, the EEODP provides Library employees and management with information regarding accessibility and accommodations issues. This includes advising management and staff on the ADA accommodation process, addressing public accessibility requests, and assisting with event programming. In addition, the EEODP provides overall leadership and direction to management for implementing policies to ensure compliance with federal laws and Library of Congress regulations regarding accessibility.

To obtain accommodations, the supervisor of the staff member should contact the Interpreting Services Office by email at ADA@loc.gov to make arrangements. The Interpreting Services Office needs requests 5 work days prior to the scheduled event date.

For other ADA accommodations, contact the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Diversity Programs at 7-6362.
