The CREA Scholarship and Loan Repayment Grant Committee is very pleased to report that a record number of applicants in the latest round of the program have received funding. Congratulations are offered to all.

The CREA Scholarship and Loan Repayment Grant Committee is very pleased to report that a record number of applicants in the <a href="http://creaunion.org/2012/01/31/crea-offers-student-loan-grants-and-scholarships/">latest round of the program</a> have received funding. Congratulations are offered to all.</p>
<p>Loan repayment grant recipients include Cheryl Beaver, Jared Brown, Vanessa Burrows, Amalia Corby-Edwards, Sam Garrett, Mark Keightley, Peter Meyer, Rena Miller, Umar Moulta-Ali, David Pham, Charlie Stern, and Jessica Tollestrup.</p>
<p>Scholarship recipients include Umar Moulta-Ali for study at the Alliance Francaise, Barbara Torreon for study at Georgetown, and NeeCole Womack for professional training at a travel forum.</p>
<p>CREA looks forward to continuing this program and encourages all members to review the <a href="http://www.creaunion.org/Documents/CREA%20Scholar-loan%20program.pdf">program guidelines</a> and consider applying in the next round.</p>

Given the continuing difficult times, CREA has again decided to forgo a catered holiday party and make a $1,000 donation to local charities in lieu. After discussion of various worthy efforts, a decision was made to donate $250 each to the following four groups:</p>
