Resource Development Committee
1. Establishing and monitoring the tone and content of communications between CREA and members/bargaining unit. This involves reviewing emails, posts for the the website, informational posters, and any other form of communication from CREA to a wider audience to ensure clarity, accuracy and consistency.
2. Ongoing involvement in improving and updating content on the CREA website. This could include contributing new content. Members would work with CREA office staff to develop site content that is relevant to the bargaining unit.
Purpose: Receive and review financial statements as required by CREA financial management policies.
Purpose: Review and make recommendations on the pursuit of grievances. This committee is made up of a specified balance of CREA Governors and Stewards.
Purpose: Review CREA investment policy and practice.
1. Plans events to support the membership community. This would involve planning and executing events that occur annually as required by the constitution such as elections and the annual meeting in addition to ad hoc events like ice cream socials or invited speakers.
2. Tracking size of bargaining unit and membership roster and planning recruitment strategies.
Purpose: Pursue training and development for all members of CREA, including general members, stewards, governors, and officers.
Purpose: Advertise and grant scholarships.
