1. Minutes.The minutes of March 2, 2011, were accepted.
2. Meeting with the Director (March 16, 2011). President R. mentioned it will be his last meeting with Director Mulhollan; likely acting Director Mazanec has accompanied the Director once before. Ideas are solicited. Budget and shutdown are naturally of interest.
3. Funding Lapse/Furlough. All three LC unions are meeting (today – March 9, 2011) to discuss bargaining the impact and implementation of a possible shutdown/furlough. Various questions arose:
People on travel / People on detail / Unemployment compensation / Outside work / Exception status (who will be excepted?) / Possible call backs during furlough / Administrative leave in lieu of pay (after furlough ends)
Many unknowns remain.
