1. Minutes.The minutes of February 16, 2011, were accepted.
2. Grievance Vote. VP Jefferson introduced a grievance that has been denied at step 2. The grievance committee has voted to recommend that the grievance NOT be pursued to arbitration. After considerable discussion, including a sense that alternative methods to approach the situation should be sought in the future, Governor Jones moved that we not pursue the grievance to arbitration, Governor Crocker seconded, and the motion passed with two dissents.
3. New CRS Director. The Librarian will select the new Director; the sense is that CREA should approach our congressional contacts with some input. Perhaps a canvassing of the CRS staff to see what they hope to see in a new CRS Director. Discussion will continue at the next meeting.
