Voter registration drive. The officers described the request from the other Library unions and discussed possible CREA roles in the AFSCME locals’ drive scheduled for October 4-6 in the Madison Building hallway outside the Subway-Dunkin’ Donuts.

Skype (Lync). The officers notified the Board that CRS management had informed CREA of soon-to-be-launched expanded uses; the Board discussed potential responses.

CRS IP pilot program. VP Martin led discussion of the focus groups that CRS HR is running (led by Hope Hanner-Bailey and Linda Riley) as part of its evaluation the pilot. He also reported on meetings he has been holding with various employee groups.

Library’s draft Diversity Strategy Plan. Governor Heisler reported on the information session HRS held for the union presidents, having represented CREA.

FY2017 CREA budget. VP Martin resumed the discussion from the 9/21/2016 Board meeting of the draft FY2017 budget. Following consideration of anticipated income under current procedures, possible actions to increase income in the intermediate and longer terms, Governor Stouffer suggested changes to the draft budget and moved that the Board accept them. Governor Oladapo seconded the motion and the Board voted to approve the budget as amended.
