Employee Assistance Program (EAP): The unions attended a briefing about EAP and its offerings for FY2017.
IP Pilot: Management is holding focus groups on the IP pilot because it is time for the pilot’s 6 month evaluation.
New Members/New Staff: Information will be sent to CREA representatives on new staff and new CREA members so representatives can do outreach.
Budget: The majority of the meeting was spent discussing the proposed FY2017 budget. Discussion was held, and next week the BOG will vote on the proposed budget. There is a forecasted deficit and the BOG discussed possible options for dealing with the deficit. These include: using reserves; growing interest income; bring in enough new members to cover the discrepancy; raising dues (couldn’t be done until FY2018 because the membership needs to vote on it); cutting expenditures such as the scholarship and budget for training.
