Minutes: For October 1st and October 15th accepted.
White Paper Committee: Gov. Brass presented the draft charter for the White Paper Committee. The White Paper Committee is motivated by CREAgrams (past CREA releases) that have had an effect on CRS policy. The Committee would also produce products to help the bargaining unit become more knowledgeable about CRS policy and their rights. The charter will be discussed next week.
CREA 40th Anniversary Celebration: There was a presentation on possible ideas for a celebration of CREA’s 40th anniversary. The suggestion was a dinner celebrating the organization, its accomplishments, and former presidents. There was also a suggestion to collect an oral history of the organization. Notably, Chelsea had begun the oral history project and the work on that is on-going. The Board expressed their thanks to Tom and Royce for putting together the proposal. It was agreed that the issue would be put on the agenda for the next Board meeting.
CREA Brochure: Want to Board to look at the brochure and review so that it can be given to new or current employees.
Other: The President met with Monica and they discussed credit hours and the emergency designation of staff. The President and former-President are meeting with Mary and plan to discuss the issue of comp-time and credit hours.
