Minutes: May 6th accepted.
Metro Council Meeting: Discussed the meeting and an amendment to Legislative Branch Appropriations bill which failed that would have prohibited automatic collection of union dues from pay checks. Next meeting is 3rd Monday in June and Pres Grasso, VP Thaul, and Steward Guidi will attend.
John Mickey: Introduced and welcomed the new office administrator.
Episodic Off-site Work Grievance: Filed a grievance. Management denied it, but their response was not timely.
ULP Emergency Closures: ULP is about management’s duty to bargain.
Staff Photography: Filed an ULP. Plan to send out an email to bargaining unit regarding the issue and CREA actions.
Weingarten Meetings: There have been a lot of these meetings and we need more people who are able to attend. Discussed sending something to the membership about Weingarten notices and meetings.
Steward Training: There will be another steward training on May 28th at lunch time. It will be on Weingarten meetings.
IFPTE Meeting: IFPTE will be having a lunchtime panel about grievances on May 28th.
