Current Cases: Nothing to report
Telework Agreement: Waiting for follow up to our proposal from CRS management.
Office Administration: Keisha will be in tomorrow and at the meeting next week.
IP Pilot Program: Nothing new. Lillian Gassie held an open forum in the IP pilot. There were several questions pertaining to performance and promotion evaluations. CREA is in the process of scheduling the next CREA/management meeting on the pilot.
Senior Level Employees: VP Brass reported on this issue.
Unions meeting with Acting Librarian: Acting Librarian holds quarterly meeting with the union presidents. There was one last week with David Mao. Discussed several issues including the briefing Mr. Mao is preparing for the ALA Conference; the Guild’s 40th anniversary; hiring from within the LOC or training current staff; telework; and the Senate report language about telework.
Metro SafeTrack: The LOC and Unions both presented proposals. The LOC only took one sentence from the unions’ proposal. The LOC proposal concluded existing policies were sufficient. Several units within the LOC offered increased flexibility but where told by LOC Workforce that the increased flexibilities were premature because the LOC was “bargaining with the unions.”
Promotion Policy: There seems to be no clarity about what the policies are even among management. There is no place where the information is available.
