CREA’s New Website Is Here

October 7th, 2008 · No Comments · CREAgrams

Welcome to CREAUnion.org

We encourage everyone with an interest in CREA, whether new or longtime members, as well as former members and those considering joining, to take a look at our new approach.

Two-Way Communication

The website uses Web 2.0 technology, which offers Members the chance to actively engage in dialogue about issues affecting the bargaining unit.  CREA expects the website to encourage communication among members and between members and CREA officials, as well as being the place to get news and information about CREA.

Visit and Register

Everyone is welcome to visit the site. CREA bargaining unit members are welcome to register; registered members will be able to comment and discuss postings. The registration link and rules for comments are available on the site. After six months, the CREA Board of Governors will assess use of the site by bargaining unit members who are not union members.

Call for Photo Art: Page Heading Contest

CREA members: please consider submitting photos for use on the website.  Our current page headings are historical images of union activity; we would like to include photos taken by our members.  Suitable images include original shots of the Library and Capitol Hill, images showing union pride, and life at CRS. Instructions and specifications for photo submissions are here.

All CREA members are eligible to enter our photo contest. Three prizes of Amazon gift cards will be awarded: first prize $75, second prize $50, and third prize $25. Entries will be judged on aesthetic merit, image clarity and composition, and originality. The  contest deadline is November 30, 2008. Only one prize per member is to be awarded, but all images will be considered for future use on the website.

Welcome to CREAunion.org.
